Who we are
This policy explains how Fitesque handles your personal information. It applies to fitesque.com and the forms on it.
We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you enquire about becoming an instructor, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, the suburb or area you are in, your state, and what you tell us about your dance or fitness background and why you are interested.
When you apply to be a Master Trainer, we collect your name, email address, phone number, where you are based, any social media links you choose to share, and the written answers you give us.
When you sign up for class updates, we collect your email address.
When you visit the site, we and our analytics providers collect technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you look at, how you arrived, and how long you stay.
We do not collect sensitive information as the Privacy Act defines it, and we ask you not to send us any. Please do not include health information in the free-text fields on our forms.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and tell you whether your area is available
- To send you the information pack you asked for
- To contact you about becoming a Fitesque instructor
- To send you class updates, if you asked for them
- To understand how the website is used and improve it
- To measure our advertising
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We use third parties to run the business, and they only handle your information to provide their service to us:
- GoHighLevel, our customer relationship system, which holds enquiry details so we can follow them up
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and Cloud), for website hosting and analytics
- Stripe, our payment processor, which handles payment information under its own terms and may process it outside Australia
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Our own copy of your enquiry is stored in Australia.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Payments
When you book and pay for an Instructor Course, your payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe receives your name, email address and the amount, and handles your payment under its own privacy policy. Stripe may store and process this information outside Australia.
We keep a record of your booking, including the course date you chose and whether payment succeeded. We never hold your card number.
If you paid for a course, we keep the record of that booking rather than deleting it after 24 months, because it is the record of a completed transaction. Everything else is kept as set out under “How long we keep it”.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details in our own records for 24 months from the date you contact us, and then delete them automatically. The customer relationship system we use to follow up enquiries keeps your contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
If you buy from us or become a Fitesque instructor, we keep your details for as long as that relationship continues, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as well.
Keeping it secure
Access to enquiry details is limited to people who need it, each with their own login, and we keep a record of who views and changes what. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information
- stop sending you marketing, at any time
Email us at hello@fitesque.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to sort it out. If you are still unhappy you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last changed at the top.
